Spring activities 2024
Welcome to a new year with naturum Öresund!
Our activities start in February and, as usual, they are especially suitable for everyone - children and adults. The only age limit we might have is a minimum age. Therefore, we are also grateful for all understanding and compliance with the guidelines regardin group sizes and age limits for our guided activities. They are designed so that the activities are meaningful, safe and secure for everyone, both participants and staff.

Netting
The netting session is a perfect activity for both children and adults. All participants are equipped with wading boots and nets. We wade into the water and look for the animals that live in the sea, our nature guides tell us what is good to think about and where to find most of the animals. Back on land we go through what we have found in our shallow aquarium - maybe some of the animals move into our aquariums!
Time required: 1 hour.
Who can participate: Everyone!
Number per group: 8 participants, children born in 2017 and later must have a participating adult who also books a spot.
Equipment: Wading boots (available from size 22), net and water binoculars included.

Snorkelling
This snorkeling session is suitable for children and adults with no or little snorkeling experience. Swimming skills are not a requirement because we snorkel in shallow water. All participants can borrow wetsuits, snorkels, diving masks and shoes. Under calm manners we practice snorkeling techniques. Then we snorkel around and see what is hidden under the surface.
Time required: 1 hour.
Who can participate: All born in 2017 and earlier.
Number per group: 6 participants, children born 2015 - 2017 must have a participating adult who also books a spot.
Equipment: Snorkelling equipment included, bring towel and swimwear.
Havsskrindan - on your own
Havsskrindan is a small wagon fully loaded with equipment for an excursion in the sea and along the beach. Nets, binoculars, magnifying glasses, key maps etc. give you good conditions
to discover life in the Sound on your own! We help you determine the species if something seems difficult, just take a picture and show us when you return. Here are videos on how to net and use the mapping key.
Bring your own: rubber boots / shoes that can withstand wet, non-tender clothing. NOTE! It does NOT include loans of waders.

Time required: max 2 hours.
Who can book: Everyone, at least 1 adult per group. Equipment is available for 5 - 6 people.
Havslådan - on your own
Havslådan contains all the equipment for a slightly larger group to conduct an exciting excursion on their own in the sea and along the beach. Nets, water binoculars, magnifying glasses etc. gives you good conditions for discovering life in Öresund. Here are movie clips on how you do the netting and use the mapping key
