Denmark's Constitution Day
Denmark's Constitution Day is celebrated in memory of Denmark's first constitution, the Constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark, which was signed on 5 June 1849. The 1953 constitution was also adopted on this day. Every year, the day is celebrated with various politicians giving speeches around the country, as the day is often also seen as a celebration of Danish democracy.
